Why do we collect your data?
In the event you are suitable for a project, we need to hold your contact details in order to contact you quickly via email and/or telephone, and in some instances to gather further information to confirm your suitability for the project.
Some or all of your provided information will be passed to our end client, in order for them to involve you in the research project itself.
In some instances, we will use statistics or demographic data on our website or in our marketing communications in order to improve the website’s performance to provide a better service for you and our other clients. You will never be identifiable from such use.
What information do we hold?

- Your mobile telephone number
- Demographic data
- Personal details relating to personal circumstances, family life, lifestyle, personal habits, social life, personal preferences and opinions
- The date and time on which you joined our database
- The date and time on which you confirmed your email address and verified your consent to join our database
- The date and time on which you last updated your profile information
- Your preferred email client (the software you use to read the communications we send you)
- We may contact you by telephone and/or email to ask further questions of you in order to gather other personal information that is relevant to any particular market research project you are being considered for.
- We may also look to collect personal data which, under the UK Data Protection Act 2018 is considered as sensitive or special categories of personal data, such as information relating to your racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership, physical or mental health or sexual orientation.
Any and all information we gather from you is related to your wish to participate in paid market research.

If you wish to object to our use of your personal information, you have the right to do so. Simply contact us stating you wish to exercise your right to object. You may also lodge a complaint with us if you feel your rights have been infringed in any way and we’ll do all we can to solve the problem.
If we contact you requesting additional details, you have the right to refuse to provide additional information, however it may affect your chances of meeting the criteria for future projects.
Retention of Information
Children’s Personal Information
We may collect personal information about children where it is relevant for a market research project, but only with the express consent of their parent or legal guardian, and we will take reasonable steps to verify that we are dealing with the parent or legal guardian of any child concerned in such an event.

- our data hosting/support service providers who process and store data on our behalf
- our professional advisors and consultants, insofar as the information is necessary for them in relation to their contractual relationship with Central Fieldwork.
In passing your personal information to a client in relation to a project, such information will be passed to them by us under defined terms and conditions that relate to their data privacy responsibilities in line with UK Data Protection LAct 2018 for processing your data as a data controller.
Other than the third-parties that we deal with as part of our normal business, your information will not be sold or passed onto any other parties.
Personal information may also be disclosed to entities based outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”), to third parties (as part of the information generally contained in business) in the event of a sale of the business, or a reorganisation of the business, or as otherwise required or permitted by law or applicable regulator.
Keeping your data secure
Central Fieldwork takes security measures in line with data protection regulations, to prevent data loss, to preserve data integrity, and to regulate access to the data. Only authorised Company personnel, and authorised personnel of our third-party service providers’ processing data on our behalf, have access to your personal information. All such personnel who have access to your personal information are required to adhere to our Privacy Notice and all third-party service providers are requested by Central Fieldwork to ensure that any of their personnel who have access to your personal information have signed non-disclosure agreements. In addition, contracts are in place with such third-party service providers acting as data processors for Central Fieldwork that have access to your personal information, to ensure that the level of security required in your jurisdiction is in place, and that your personal information is processed only as instructed by us.
